การประชุมนานาชาติ: Bangkok International Conference 2014

นักศึกษาสาขาวิชาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศของคณะฯ ประสบความสำเร็จอย่างมากในการจัดการประชุมวิชาการนานาชาติตลอดช่วงสองปีที่ผ่านมา ในปีนี้ การจัดประชุมวิชาการนานาชาติเมืองกรุงเทพจะถูกจัดขึ้นอีกครั้งภายใต้หัวข้อ “มนุษย์ ไซเบอร์ และชีวิตที่ปลอดภัย” โดยมีจุดประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมการทำวิจัย และการอภิปรายว่าด้วยผลกระทบของไซเบอร์ต่อรัฐและชีวิตของผู้คน ในปัจจุบัน เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศมีความเกี่ยวข้องกับชีวิตของทุกคน อินเทอร์เน็ตได้มีบทบาทปลี่ยนกระบวนทัศน์ว่าด้วยความปลอดภัย และทำให้สังคมเสี่ยงภัยต่อการถูกโจมตีทางไซเบอร์ไปพร้อมกัน เนื่องจากประเด็นเหล่านี้เกี่ยวข้องกับทุกคนอย่างหลีกเลี่ยงไม่ได้ การสำรวจแง่มุมต่างๆ ในพื้นที่ไซเบอร์ และการทำความเข้าใจประเด็นดังกล่าวในเชิงลึกให้มากขึ้น ถือเป็นกุญแจสำคัญในการมีชีวิตที่ปลอดภัย

งานประชุมวิชาการนานาชาติเมืองกรุงเทพครั้งนี้ เป็นการเปิดพื้นที่ให้ทุกท่านมาเข้าร่วมในกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ เช่น การปาฐกถาจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านความมั่นคงทางไซเบอร์ การอภิปรายจากตัวแทนภาคส่วนต่างๆ รวมไปถึง การนำเสนอเรียงความ การเสวนาภาพยนตร์ และการถกเถียงในระดับนักเรียนนักศึกษาและประชาชน ในงานประชุมครั้งนี้ มีการเปิดรับสมัครนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี และปริญญาโทจากสาขาสังคมศาสตร์และวิทยาศาสตร์เทคโนโลยี ให้ส่งบทความเข้าประกวดเพื่อร่วมอภิปรายและนำไปสู่การตีพิมพ์ โดยมีจุดประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนระหว่างสาขาวิชา และเปิดมุมมองใหม่ให้แก่การศึกษาความมั่นคง

Thammasat University’s International Relations students had successfully organized international conference in the topic of global affairs and human rights in the past 2 years. For this year, the third Bangkok International Conference will focus on the topic of Humans, State, and Cyber Security, aiming at promoting the academic research and intellectual discussion how internet affects states and individual lives. In this age, human life has been indispensably linked with internet. Internet transforms the security paradigm and makes every sector in society vulnerable to the cyber-attack. As the topic is relevant to everyone, the exploration in every aspect of cyberspace and the creation of a deeper understanding on this issue are important for having a secured life.

Bangkok International Conference will provide spaces for participation in activities including keynote speech from a prominent figure in cyber security, panel discussion participated by people from various sectors, paper presentation, movie seminar and debate from students and public. The conference encourages undergraduate and post-graduate students from both social science and technological science to submit abstract paper for discussion and publication for stimulating multi-disciplinary environment and broadening new security perspective. The conference also aims at creating network of students for contributing new knowledge to society
