Master Degree

             The master programme at the Faculty of Political Science, Thammasat University aims at producing graduates that are well-informed in politics, international affairs, and public administrations. Students will have the knowledge of concepts, theories, and various administrative skills. They will be able to apply these skills in developing the country and progress further academically.

              The programme has continued to develop since its establishment in 1971; outside experts and speakers are invited, while the infrastructures and facilities for students are constantly improved. Each year, around 30 students graduate from the programme and has subsequently worked in various professions, including civil servants, state enterprise employees, journalists, local administrative officials, and international agency staff.

 

Course Details


 

Course structure:

There are three majors on offer: Government and Politics, International Affairs, and Public Administrations. Plan A: Eight subjects and a thesis (Students whose first degree is not in Political Science has to enroll in three more subjects. These three extra units are not counted as part of the compulsory units required).

Teaching date and times:

This is a full-time programme. The teaching will take place during normal working hours: Mondays to Fridays (9.00-16.00) and Saturdays (9.00-16.00).

No more than 30 per major per year

Fees:

20,600 Baht per semester (1,500 Baht per unit)

Requirements:

Applicants have to complete an undergraduate degree or equivalent from an educational institution recognised by Thammasat University or will be completing their undergraduate degree or equivalent in the first or second semester of the academic year they are applying.
