MIR Program

A great transformation of global politics in the 21st Century is driven by power transition, disruptive technology and new challenges, and thereby the study of IR is a useful toolkit for thinking and acting in these changing configurations of power dynamics.

The Master of Political Science Program in International Relations (MIR), established since 1998, is a weekend program. All classes are held on Saturday and Sunday at Faculty of Political Science, Thammasat University, Ta Prachan campus. The program offers small class size (most are limited to 25 or fewer students) for greater individual attention.

We study key international actors, such as states, international institutions, non-state actors and individuals as well as key challenging transnational issues, such as human rights, climate change, disaster and environment. IR is directly related to diplomatic practices and the policy world.

We engage with how and in what ways diplomacy and foreign policy are performed on the international stage.
