      The Bachelor of Political Science Program in Politics and International Relations (English Program) is a new program which aims to give a priority to high- quality education comparable to international standard.

       The Faculty of Political Science, Thammasat University sees the importance of developing a taught program in English in the field of politics and international relations. The Program integrates theoretical approaches with case studies, current issues as well as practical skills. It also gives a priority to a diverse range of academic questions essential to the field of politics and international relations.

Undergraduate Study:

The Faculty of Political Science, Thammasat University sees the importance of developing a taught program in English in the field of politics and international relations. The Program integrates theoretical approaches with case studies, current issues as well as practical skills. It also gives a priority to a diverse range of academic questions essential to the field of politics and international relations.

Objectives:

1. To provide academic knowledge as well as practical skills essential in the field of politics, international relations, and public administration.
2. To stimulate interest in current issues and encourage the application of theoretical learning into practical use.
3. To create ethical and moral awareness as well as social responsibility.
4. To provide international knowledge in response to the labor market in Thailand within the region and international organizations.

Teaching System:

System
The Program operate on a fulltime bi-semester system. Each year has 2 semesters. Each semester consists 15 weeks and summer session consists of 6-8 weeks but has studies’ hour as same as normal semester.

The Program operates summer session for 2nd year and 3rd year students.

Qualification:

1. Admission qualifications listed in Item 7 of the Thammasat University’s Bachelor Degree Regulations (1997).

1.1 Applicants shall not be diagnosed with communicable infectious disease, socially disgusted diseases or diseases which will impede the learning performance.

1.2 Applicants shall not have convicted of any offence a crime or have not been charged with any offence.

1.3 Applicants shall not have any students’ status or currently be enrolled at any other higher education institution in Thailand.

Applicants shall have one of the following qualifications:

- Successfully completed secondary school or high vocational certificate or diploma or equivalent.

- Successfully received a Bachelor Degree from Thammasat University.

- Successfully received a Bachelor Degree or equivalent from other higher education institution endorsed by Thammasat University Council.

- Applicants have been approved by Thammasat University Council.

2. Completion of at least five semesters of Mathayom 4-6 or equivalent with minimum GPA 2.8 or

- Applicants with GED diploma must obtain a minimum score of 2800 in total.

- Applicants with NEW GED diploma must obtain a minimum score of 660 in total and at least 165 scores in each subject.

- Applications with GCE, GCSE and IGCSE must obtain at least grade C in five different subjects.

- Applicants with the International Baccalaureate (IB) results are required to have at least “4” in five different subjects.

3. One of the following English proficiency test results:

- TOEFL: a minimum score of 500 on pBT/ 61 on iBT/ 173 on cBT or

- IELTS: a minimum overall grade of 6.0 or

- TU-GET: a minimum score of 500 on pBT/ 61 on cBT or

- GSAT: a minimum score of 400 on Reading, Writing and Language parts

*Scores more than two years old cannot be reported or validated.

Admission Criteria:

1. General knowledge in Political Science 50%.

2. English Essay in Political Science 50% Only 250 essays of highest score applicants will be marked.

3. Interview Examination.
