MIR Program

                One cannot understand his or her country’s political or economic successes and/or failures without knowing how it fits into the present-day international system. During the last two decades, global economic and political interconnectedness among and beyond nation-states had drastically transformed international social lives beyond imagination. In developing efficacious lives for the betterment of themselves, their countries as well as the world, students of international relations must be alert to these transformations.

             The Master of Political Science Program in International Relations (MIR), established in 1998, is the nation’s first graduate program in international relations taught in English.The Curriculum emphasized totrain our students in the theory and practice of international relations, prepare them for the challenges brought about by the changing global and regional landscape.

               MIR is a two year part-time program offers in a weekend.The program’s mission is to produce a new generation expertise in international relations in order to meet job markets’ demand, deep academic knowledge and practical understanding of international relations, comparable to international standards, including ethical consciousness and ability to support as well as sustain good relations with peoples and governments in the world community

               For a decade, MIR Graduates have attained notable success in careers in manydifferent areas. Alumni can be found in the areas of diplomacy, national government, international organizations, private businesses,NGOs and INGOs as well as university faculties or research organizations.

 

Course Details


 

Curriculum:

A Part-time, two-year, 36-credit program

Day of Study:

Saturday to Sunday: 9.00 - 16.00 

Place:

Faculty of Political Science, Thammasat University, Tha Prachan

Length of Study:

2 years (4 semesters)

Academic Calendar:

Semester 1         August - December 
Semester 2         January - May
Summer             June - July

Prospective applicants:

A Bachelor Degree from an accredited university of expected to graduate in August of the year of application.

Thai student 280,000 baht
International student 350,000 baht
