Robin Ramcharan is a Professor of International Relations. He specializes in international security issues, notably traditional and non-traditional security in Southeast Asia, and on human rights in this region. He is co-founder of the Asia Centre, a research and training consultancy based in Bangkok, Thailand. He has worked in international development cooperation with the Worldwide Academy of the World Intellectual Property Organization. He also worked at the World Economic Forum. He has taught in Canada, India, Switzerland and Thailand, including at McGill University and the University of Toronto. He was Post-Doctoral Fellow with the Center for International Peace and Security Studies of McGill University and Université de Montréal. He obtained a Doctorate and a Diplôme d'Etudes Supérieures (DES/MA) in International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International and Development studies, an MA from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA (Hons.) from Queen’s University, Canada. He holds an LLM in International Law from the University of London. He was also trained in human rights in France and South Africa. His publications include:
